Rate

Which rate applies to a sale is a classification question: it turns on what is sold, to whom and where. This tool does the arithmetic, not the classification.

VAT at 19%

€190.00

to add to the net amount.

Net€1,000.00
VAT (19%)€190.00
Gross€1,190.00

Rounded to the cent, half up, on the VAT figure; the other figure is derived from it so the three always add up.

Cyprus rates in 2026: 19% standard, 9%, 5% and 3% reduced, and 0%.

An illustrative estimate under the 2026 Cyprus rules, not tax advice. Your own position depends on facts this tool does not ask about, and is confirmed on a call.

The arithmetic is simple. The rate is not always.

Five rates in 2026

19% is the standard rate. 9%, 5% and 3% are reduced rates for listed goods and services, and 0% applies to exports and specified basic goods.

The rate is a classification

Which rate applies turns on what is sold, to whom and where. Getting it wrong is the usual cause of a VAT assessment, and this tool does not decide it.

Rounding

VAT is rounded to the cent and the other figure is derived from it, so net plus VAT always equals gross.

The sum is easy. The rate is the question.

If you are not sure which rate applies to what you sell, or whether you need to register at all, that is a short conversation with a partner.
