Social insurance, the Redundancy and Human Resource Development Funds are charged on each salary up to the monthly ceiling of €5,742, the 13th included. GESY stops at €180,000 a year. The Social Cohesion Fund has no ceiling.
Income tax is worked out on the year and spread evenly over the salaries. It leaves out the 2026 personal deductions and the first employment exemptions.

The employer's 2% is charged on the full salary, however high. On a large salary it becomes the biggest single on-cost.
Most employers are exempt from the Central Holiday Fund and pay leave directly. Switch it on only if your company contributes.
